Anyhow the Trelawnyd Conservation Group has been hard at work today planting up the green areas of the village today, so I thought I would " big up" their endeavours somewhat this afternoon
It's amazing just how much some thoughtfully planted out flower beds can lift the centre of the village.
Love the flowers. Hope all goes well at your meeting, and that you manage to stay clean and tidy.

ReplyDeleteI do agree about raspberry jam in trifle, but only if the fruit used ifsraspberries (I often use a tin but had plenty of fresh strawberries so used them instead.)

No I am not part of the conservation group.. But I do intend to help them out sometime if they need any extra hands
Looking gorgeous! What a great community. I used to be a 'weigher' at a WW meeting and women would disrobe down to their slips and all manner of crazy. I suspect a fair few also threw up as well as the voiding of bladder and bowel!

We have a charity that is called Helping Hands for abused people who need a safe place and supplies. You donate goods for resale and that goes toward their needs. I said all that to say this. I slip up now and then and call it "Wife Beaters" and do get some strange looks.
I think if we ever have a messy conversation over Scotch Eggs there might be a laugh or two.
Just a little show of caring for a common area makes a big difference. I hope the Weighing of the Stones is less traumatic than this morning's Tesco run.

Dont wait for the flower show before we next see you.
Wewould appreciate your opinion on the proposed development opposite us.This has been a blot on the landscape for years and we think it will improve the area.as our frontage will be a blight on the sale of the properties we have been prompted to refurbish our frontage.This was restricted by an earlier conservation officer who said it enhanced the beauty of the village and must be retained.
We have contacted the new officer and he has similar views and rejected our proposal that we replace it to match the cottage on the corner of well street.This was number 1,2 and 3 London road.
We will retain the old sign of I P Jones,which he does not like,and the P O box.
The planners need plans,architects drawings etc
Our idea will cost us about £ 1000 and his will be £5000.
As we are joining the elderly residents we will not comply as the work will be so disruptive.
The opinions of your readers will be much appreciated and any advice.
