It has taken a few moments to recover myself after I snorted into my tea when I spied the photo! c'est très magnifique! and definitely NOT what I was expecting when I scrolled down!
Nothing says 'I love you' like an item of waterproof apparel.....my OH gave me The Ultimate Waterproof Trousers for my 50th birthday last year.....I was hoping for jewellery.....still......it rains a lot here......it's the gift that keeps on giving.....(sigh)....
Hmmmmm. The Hurricane went to France and got a little Eiffel Tower for me, along with some other pretty things. I've never received a large piece of plastic as a gift, but if it makes you happy, then good for you.
I think it's a fine, practical, thoughtful gift. Yes, my wife once asked me for a load of bricks on our anniversary, which I remembered and delivered. Main thing is it's a gift!
What do you mean: What do I think? I can't think and laugh at the same time.
A thoughtful present. Classy. As shower caps go a little over the top. Whoever styled that shot: Well done. Not only are YOU blue (as am I - not least as this is the man I am in love with), your surroundings nicely colour coordinated too.
Have you spoken to him yet? After all he was in France....there was wine, cheese, bread, ......and apparently a sale in the local milletts.....although it is a thoughtful gift for where you live and he does love you .....mmmm.
Are you sure that's not a super-sized French letter you're wearing - you know, the size above 'stallion'. Probably a bit leaky for THAT purpose, though.
I read your blog everyday and very, very rarely comment. However, I am sitting in the garden with a cup of tea, howling with laughter. Neighbour has just looked over the fence to check all is well and I showed her the picture. Her comment - 'kinky'! A brilliant start to my day, thankyou, you wonderful man..xxx
Here`s me panicking about a photo of me finally being shown on someone`s blog and here`s you bedecked in plastic for all to see! Where on earth did Chris find it!!
At least you can use it to waterproof your windows if they need extra protection during the next violent storm! But I do love the color - goes well with your crocs and surroundings.
WTF? :-/

ReplyDeleteIt suits you! Little Blue Riding Hood! Just tell Trelawnyd parents to keep their kiddies indoors when you approach! Don't want them to be traumatised!
ReplyDeleteDid he buy one for himself as well? Just wondering....
ReplyDeleteIt is a thing of beauty. My Canadian Cousin has just given the boys similar ponchos with Niagara Falls printed on the back - so I know they're cool!

ReplyDeleteHmph! All I had from my sister when she returned from her recent trip to the Jura was a bottle of white Burgundy, swizz!
ReplyDeleteYou do know it's been the driest July for years, right?

I can't tell you how disappointed I was, that your gift was not a stripy tee shirt and a beret!
ReplyDeleteVery fetching. I always love the term 'French Leave' - and also used to wonder whether it was on these occasions that you sent 'French Letters'.
ReplyDeleteThat is quite a fashion statement!
