I spoke to Chris last night.
He has been working away all week and will be back today
" have you been looking after yourself ?"
He asked after he heard I had been mooching around Bosoms all day
" yes" I told him
" have you had a bath today?"
" Of course" I replied
And then I looked down at my feet
He knows me well
Ps
Just been down to the Prestatyn Flower Show......my veg box won second prize...my cabbage won second prize and my curly Kale won second prize........always a bridesmaid and never the bride eh?

This little piggy went to market - and bought a scrubbing brush!
ReplyDeleteIf crocs cried real tears you'd have clean feet.
ReplyDeleteLLX
You've just made me examine my feet. Euch! A good soak in a bowl of hot soapy water in order, methinks...
ReplyDeletewhat's wrong with garden feet?
ReplyDeleteAll that says is that you haven't been sitting around doing nothing all day, good honest dirt.
ReplyDeleteBriony
xx
You've gone and got feet all over that soil!
ReplyDeleteYour toenails look healthy. I think I'll schedule a pedicure today.
ReplyDeleteI see the feet of a busy man.
ReplyDeleteA pedi in order? Go ahead you've earned it.
ReplyDeleteStill time to whip in to the suds and have a clean up before he gets home.
ReplyDeleteA good soak in the tub cures all....even dirty feet:)
ReplyDeleteSo the carpet and rug aren't really beige then?

It's cream

ReplyDeleteI cannot keep my feet clean in summer. I suppose it would help if I didn't run around barefoot or in sandals all the time...
ReplyDeleteMy, you DID get a lot done outside today, didn't you? Those are some very busy-looking feet.
ReplyDeleteWell John, now that you are finally able to be that 'bride' you've always wanted to be, thanks to the new UK law, this could be the last time using that phrase.
ReplyDeleteDo I hear bells or is that the ole rhinitis kicking in again!!?
My feet always look like that in the summer !
ReplyDeleteWell, I'd have given your arrangements a Blue Ribbon... still, congratulations are in order for 2nd place. Just curious... in the winning display, what's in those little cups (round black and green things) ?
ReplyDeleteI don't think I could reach my feet - just soak them in the tub!! And don't sniff at 2nd prize - it's well ahead of the rest. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to figure out where you are on this map - this is from the woman trekking around Wales with her donkey:

Look fortune top of Wales..... Look for the words RHYL.... We are six miles inland and 600 feet higher!
DeleteI see it! Now if only you guys could contact each other - I'm sure Albert and the dogs would love to see a recalcitrant donkey trek through town!!!
DeleteNancy in Iowa
It was the little carrots that did you in!
ReplyDeleteStory of my life
DeleteI used to have a foot fetish until I saw that photo... (not really)
ReplyDeleteSecond prize eh? Well deserved.
I looked at your veg basket again and from an artistic view point I would have picked yours. The big leafy green cabbage (?) to the left balances the smaller grouped vegs. It only needed a pop of color, something red or yellow to catch your eye.
ReplyDeleteI thought it wonderful.
cheers, parsnip
You have wonderful taste....have I not told you that before?
DeleteGrubby? Yes.
ReplyDeleteUgly? No!
At least your feet will scrub up well.
Once it's in print it's fete accompli unfortunately.

Ooh, I love that first place in the Floral Arts! That's stunning!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your second places. Nothing to sneeze at there!
And I always get turned around looking at British ribbons - we, in the US, award blue for first and red for second. So just tell them you won first place over here! LOL!
I think your basket did look better; more abundant. Plus, you didn't need two little cups to keep your bitty berries contained. Still, all those second places sure are nice.
ReplyDeleteAs for the turkey, was there truly a risk that the the formerly named bird was going to be eaten??? You're pulling somebody's leg with that tale.
Congratulations on placing. I'm never even the bridesmaid at anything.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Well done! We went there with the pup at 2, he loved the chickens, hehe :-)
ReplyDeleteYour feet look suspiciously the same size as those wedges you inherited the other week!!
ReplyDeleteBloomin' well done on your wins.....after all, it's not the winning.....och, you know the rest!
Have a great weekend.x
Actually, I like yours better! If you had a couple or three pretty red onions, red tomatoes and/or a bunch of red radish in that basket, I think you would of won. Anyway, congratulations on your prize. You weren't skunked and the veggies looked delicious. Wish I had that fresh cabbage to cook!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe that spelling mistake is trying to tell you something.
ReplyDeleteAs to your feet, I personally find it incredibly hard to wash my feet in the shower (I can't bend down that far) - well that's my excuse and I am sticking to it.
They must have a grown-up to write the headlines otherwise Welsh Water would be tackling the leek issue.
ReplyDeleteIs it only Welsh folk who come second or third in flower shows that cannot spell the word Engish?
ReplyDeleteBut they always win rosettes in the 'Guess The Root Vegetable' competition. ENGS UNITE!
DeleteI cannot spell ANYTHING Sarah
DeleteI liked your veg basket MUCH better!
ReplyDeleteWell, we are prejudiced. You obviously should have one them all!
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoyed yourself, John. *hugs* ♥ :-)
I still like your basket better. I wonder how much comes down to simple personal preference on the part of the judges? I suppose there is a rating guide, but still ...
ReplyDeleteI too think your basket was the lovelier of the two, but then I have always liked more greenery in the displays and your cabbage set everything off perfectly!
ReplyDeletemaybe the reporters "fate" is to go to a "fete"!! Love the feet, I suppose second prize is better than "never entered" :) :D
ReplyDeleteI am surprised and impressed that the leak wasn't a leek!
ReplyDeleteSaw an advert in our local rag selling a dog kennel and run made from tantalized wood. :0
ReplyDeleteYou are my sort of guy, crocs and a cape. I can feel a new super hero emerging.
Thank you all for your comments..... Didn't have time today to respond to them all apologies xxx
DeleteMr Gray, how very quaint to still have flower shows and I like the idea of a vege box display. Well done you, even if only placed 2nd. Here, our first prize gets the "blue ribbon" not the red? I used to do flower arranging ~ you have me thinking now ~ why did I stop?
ReplyDeleteWell start again carol......
