Bunk Off

The Prof is away until tomorrow. I am working all day tomorrow which I know is bad timing, so today, I am bunking off from work at home and am going to a cheap early showing of some shitty film this afternoon.
A film which I shall talk about later if I have a mind.
I shall leave you with a somewhat unflattering snap of Me  ( with the more photogenic Mary) taken last night, after a strenuous day clearing the entire back garden ( and shitting behind hedgerows!)
It's a hard job being an internet sensation

  1. I am bunking off from everything too today. I don't have Mary to cuddle me though. Enjoy your day John. Greetings Maria xx

  2. I'm completely in favour of bunking off at every available opportunity!
I love the way Mary sticks to you like a toffee wrapper! X

  3. Awwww, sweet sleepy bebe. I'm referring to Mary, of course.

  4. I wonder if the shitty film will involve a middle aged man, a small dog and a flock of sheep... an angry farmer, a police panda car, a magistrate, a fine and a column in the local paper - "Local Nurse Caught With Pants Down".

  5. When - God forbid - Mary kicks the bucket, maybe you should have her made into a fur stole.

  6. Must be something in the air - I'm calling in today as well, although I do have a bit of a lingering cough as justification. In an "open-plan" office - on of the more barbarous inventions of this barbarous era - a cougher is not a welcome colleague, after all.

I'm planning copious sofa-time, likely draped in both the terriers - neither of whom, I must admit, are quite as graceful as Mary.

  7. I never know with you... Was it MARY who cleared the entire back garden while YOU shat behind the hedgerows? Either way, you're both adorable (well, except for shitting behind the hedgerows).

  10. I'm sure you hope to show up before your husband does - in case of any 'gifts' left on the floor while you are gone.

  14. If it's a film that I've seen recently, the only one that qualifies for the tag you give it has got to be 'Grimsby'. I'm waiting!

  16. Do all Welsh Terriers like to crawl up on your shoulder, much like Meg, to snuggle ? It is very endearing.
    (until she gains 30 pounds)
Hope your work shift is quiet one.

    cheers, parsnip

  17. Awww you've caught the sun, little pink one! I hope you didn't ache too much when you woke up, but very well done on getting all that gardening done. I was merely picking up shattered glass after the gales blew out panes of glass from my greenhouse.

    2. Not all. I've had two in my life that did not like to snuggle and didn't grow to like it either. It sucks but you have to accept that they are all different just like humans.
