The Walking Dead Episode 12 Remember

For the fourth time in five series, the battle hardened "team Rick" have suddenly found themselves in an unfamiliar community. This time Alexandria ,( which is a suburb of Washington) seems to be a safe, democratic but slightly sanitised " safe zone" presided over , not by a demon autocrat , but an intelligent, former politician who needs the survivalist skills of Rick's group in order to keep her much weaker community safe in a dangerous new world.
Of course team Rick are a mistrusting lot, and for the first time in the series' history, it is him and his group and not the new community who possess the potential for being a threat to living a peaceful life. The question sits like the elephant in the room.....is Rick and co too far gone to live in the new order? Or will the group fragment as it adjusts to civilisation?

As Daryl sulked at the clean order of Alexandria and its Matriarch Deanna ( Tovah Feldshue) tried to get the measure of everyone, it was nice to see the survivors try to acclimatize to their new surroundings. Rick cried having his first haircut ,Carl got all shy with the new kids, Michonne brushed her teeth for 20 minutes straight and Carol, well Carol grabbed all the best scenes as she cleverly wrong footed the Alexandrian folk by pretending she was a ditzy bubblehead and not the badass we all know and love.....
I'm sure that will come in handy later on
Anyhow the new direction the series is following will be an interesting one, I'm sure.

    1. We just watched it this afternoon - when Deanna was interviewing Rick and she said "It's 3:37 p.m...." I said to R "what time is it now"? and we looked at the clock and *Twilight Zone music* it was exactly 3:37 p.m. Weird, huh!?

  3. Hearing about TWD episodes is ALMOST as good as watching, without the time investment. Please carry on! (We don't get the channel here)

  4. Carol was absolutely the smartest of the group tonight - totally on her guard but not giving a thing away and I loved her dialogue with Daryl on the porch.

    1. I can just see her hosing him down when he goes to sleep - if he ever does?

  5. Spent four hours yesterday watching it (had to catch up from episode one)

The ROTC son is a maniac and I predict Darryl will take him down.

Carol asking about the Junior League was an epic snicker fest for me.

  6. Carol was freakin awesome. She totally downplayed her skills. Did you notice the fumbling with her gun like she didn't know how to take it off? Then her talking about cooking and such...wonderful.

And when she walked by Daryl after she was dressed and changed and he said "you look ridiculous". Loved it!

  7. John,

Okay, I'm just totally hooked on this program. It's great the entire group found a community however, this community and its people are a bit strange. I'm suspicious of all the players in this new community and would refuse to give up my weapons. Can't wait until the next episode.

  8. It was a surreal episode, because I can only remember 2 flash backs to before the plague in the whole of TWD, to a time when there were clean sheets and electricity to run a household. I have a theory, that Michone will stay and become their Sherrif, and the others wont hack it and move on....

  9. I'm a little nervous myself. When has anything turned out well with a politician in charge?

  10. Did Carol really say she missed her husband in her interview? God I hope I heard it wrong.
