Angry Men

You can't " me" but I am second from the left...I effin know...there's only 11
It's my best friend Nu's birthday soon and I wanted to get her a pressie with a bit of a kick ( I am sick of sending her nice flowers)....so I got all stuck in with mr google and have just booked her ( and me) two tickets to the west end production of Twelve Angry Men just BEFORE IT CLOSES... It's a cracker of a movie if you remember
I will get down to London around 6 pm. Meet her for a cocktail the off to Angry men we'll go.......
If I was ever picked for a jury ...I am oh so wanting to be Henry Fonda............juror 8
However I am more likely to be the juror 6
Look him up if you can't remember
I can't wait

  1. Weird, I was just talking about this movie this morning.
I'm sure you and Nu will have a great time!
I have never been on a jury, which makes me mad. Other people (like my husband) have been called many times, and I have never been and I have been voting ever since I was eligible!

  3. I was the foreman of a Jury a few years ago. Very interesting (and in ways farcical). Got to stand up and say "Not Guilty... Unanimous..." ten times. Although it wasn't unanimous until a bit of Henry Fonda stuff did some persuading. I got grateful looks (ten times, ten charges, all nonsense, unanimously). It was worrying in many ways too.

  4. You can always send *me* nice flowers for a change. Hope the production is wonderful!

  5. I have an abiding fear of being tried by a bunch of people not smart enough to get out of jury duty.

  6. Like Carol, above, I've never had 'the call'. I would have liked to be on a jury; no idea why, but it seems to confirm one as 'a citizen'.

  8. I was on a jury once, and although not a murder case, the same arguments took place. One even wanted to just put a guilty verdict through quickly because he had pre-booked a golf match. I've heard the stage play is excellent John, when are you going?

  9. Jack Klugman's finest hour. It was all downhill with Quincy from there.
