One of my favourite actresses died yesterday. Catherine O’Hara was a gifted comic and actress. She stole more scenes than lassie in her time and when in her sixties, forged out a new following by creating the amazing character of MoiraRose in Schitt’s Creek.
She will be missed
We've also enjoyed Catherine O'Hara for decades and she's brought her humor and skill to many movie parts. She is gone too soon and will be unforgettable.
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Catherine O'Hara was wonderful. She'll be missed. Her parts in Christopher Guest movies were great, especially when she played Cookie Guggleman in Best In Show.
ReplyDeleteLove,

I was always in love with Maureen O'Hara, but that's a different ball game!
ReplyDeleteShe was always exceptional and Schitt’s Creek was a perfect vehicle for her talents. She made that character lovable.
ReplyDeleteI was genuinely shocked when it was announced on Channel 4 news last night. Such a fine actress. Her role in Schitts Creek was fabulous and she was the star of the show. May she Rest in Peace.Carole R.
ReplyDeleteLoved her. She was talented and lovely and just kind, from all accounts. Watching next A Mighty Wind, which I've somehow missed seeing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a loss, what a woman. Moria Rose will forever be one of my favourites 😔
ReplyDeleteAlways so sad when someone dies too young. RIP Catherine. xx
ReplyDeleteI was given “Best in Show” by Morgan Freeman when we were dock neighbours in Grenada before it actually came out and I thought it was one of the funniest movies ever. I hope it will be on Netflix so I can watch it again. Cookie was so good as was Eugene Levy as Gerry Fleck. So sorry to hear about Catherine O’Hara. Gigi
ReplyDeleteI loved the moments on "Schitt's Creek" when she would show the gentle side of her character, like when she talked with Stevie during the Cabaret show. She will certainly be missed.
ReplyDeleteA great Canadian comic actress! I've been a fan since her initial days on SCTV. What a shock her sudden death is and what a loss. She was still at the top of her game.
ReplyDeleteShe brought much joy and laughter into the lives of so many. I think that is noble.
ReplyDeleteShe was a legend and she will be deeply missed.
