A hand

Mary has the phantom pregnancy mooches today, hence the towels… Roger is putting up the drama with his usual alacrity.
Weaver has been braving the lane traffic with her usual bad temper and Bun is sitting in the sun looking pleased with herself.
I’m glad I’m on holiday still
The other morning , I made myself useful and took kelda and her cats to the vets. In turn Kelda made the Flower Show video, quid  pro quo
As I waited for the cat boxes to be loaded up, I spied a villager leaving his house for work. He stopped short, surprised to see me there, then waved and walked over.
He’d obviously heard of my possible redundancy worries and gave me one of those understanding supportive faces people do when faced with someone else’s bad luck.
And quite spontaneously held out his hand and held mine for a while, in a sudden gesture that quite moved me.
It’s these little things that get you through the day

  4. Animals make life so much better. I don't know about you, but it's the not knowing that is so hard on me. Once I know the worst, I can get on with things. I hope the worst doesn't happen.

    1. I talked to some gay friends on line today, Matt from Denmark and jay from stoke , and boy did we laugh, jay had bought a hot tub which I called a paddling pool, the subsequent banter made me cry with much needed laughter

  16. We are all pulling for the best outcome for you, Dear John. So glad your villagers are showing you they care.

Even here in my California small town where the streets are wide and houses separated, my neighbors have pulled together to care for me during a recent illness, bringing soup, tea and comfort. It gives one hope during these fraught times in Murka.

  19. I thought Mary looked tired too. But sweet photo of the dogs together.

The waiting is really awful. It is like waiting for a life changing medical diagnosis, and worrying and waiting, unable to function properly or even rest.
