My sisters, sister in law and brother in law and I went to see Mission Impossible Final Reckoning tonight
Apart from Tom Cruise’s T rex running arms ( which we copied every time he ran ) and an underused but hypnotic Paris ( the camera loving Pom klementieff below) and one set piece fight in an Arctic cabin the three hour finale was all a bit much. After we left , I felt a reenactment of the chase scenes was in order
And my sister loved it ( see her Facebook comment below)

😂🤣🤣😟🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
ReplyDeleteThey would have to pay me to watch that film and buy me a bucket of popcorn too. Even then I would probably fall asleep.
ReplyDeleteJanet’s comment was so sweet
ReplyDeleteLee xx
I just won't watch films that long. Two hours, maximum. It isn't my kind of film anyway. I think I watched Tom Cruise in Cocktail, and that is the only film I've seen him in.
ReplyDeleteI don't care for Tom Cruise so think I wouldn't have gone to see this movie with y'all.
ReplyDeleteMy knees would have been screaming like Janet's after 3 hours.
Ha! It's always fun to go fast as long as you don't get caught.
Hugs!
Had to laugh at your description of Tom Cruise's T-rex running arms!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good time was had.
ReplyDeleteAt least in cinema, has Paris ever been anything but hypnotic?
ReplyDeleteI love how you have family movie outings!!That sounds like lots of fun and many laughs, especially your reenactments. Carol in Atlanta
ReplyDeleteSounds as if a good time was had by all, regardless. And what a lovely old fashioned heartening thing to do as a family. I'll give the film a miss, thanks. Not a Tom Cruise fan. It's a long time since he stopped being an actor to become an ego trip. And so many Mission zimpossible films that are mainly about him denying the ageing process? Hmn.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big Tom Cruise fan, all his films just seem to be about him proving how big and tough a little man can be, and I find myself just watching for the clever camera angles that make him look taller. Gosh that is very shallow of me ... perhaps he is a lovely guy. Alan would most likely love it, but I'll wait until it hits the television, that way I can escape the room when it all gets too much. It sounds like you had a lovely time though with your family.
ReplyDeleteNow I'm just waiting for the first Anonymous comment telling you that driving like a 'mad man' is terrible. ;-)
Am definitely in the minority here but enjoy most of his films so will be going. Love the image of the T Rex running and you driving madly from the car park!
ReplyDeleteMinority but not alone! I too love most of his movies and am looking forward to this conclusion.. Hubby is not a big Tom Cruise fan but he will go see this movie with me.. I've liked Tom Cruise since i saw him in Legend.... Hugs! deb
DeleteGlad I am not alone :)
DeleteAnother one here who would have to be dragged, kicking and screaming , to watch this film! But I love that you had a family cinema night and had a good laugh. I now have an image of Tom Cruise as a T-rex. Oh, dear! xx
ReplyDeletemy back, bladder, and need for an afternoon nap would not withstand a 3 hour movie...... that's a moviethon in my book these days....... well done for toughing it out!!
ReplyDeleteI love your sister’s comment! I can live very well without seeing Tom Cruise ever again.
ReplyDeleteWe go to the monthly, afternoon film club at the Memorial Hall. No adverts, the volume just right, and a break for tea and biscuits half way through the film.
ReplyDeleteTom Hanks rather than Tom Cruise. Growing old gracefully.
I am belly laughing thinking about all of you doing T Rex arms, and you driving wild out of the car park! I will wait for it to stream on something as 3 hours, even using my RunPee app on my phone, is too long to sit still and not have to pee. Come on, Tom.
ReplyDeleteDid you make the car slide around the corners?
ReplyDeleteIt's great that your group had such fun at the movie. Three hours is too long for me!
ReplyDeleteI didn't even realize there is a new Mission: Impossible. Isn't Tom Cruise getting a little long in the tooth for this?
ReplyDeleteI need to see this now, if only for Tom Cruise running 😂
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't dare give 1 cent to the Church of Scientology or the cult.
