Have I told you it’s my birthday tomorrow?
It’s all me me me , lol
My shift is going ok, and my weak arm is holding up, to be fair the night is quieter than usual but I have taken the “ heavier” patients in order to stretch myself physically
I’ve been thinking what my most favourite birthday gift has been……
Finlay….
Of course it was! (But we know you had to say that or the Welsh would have eaten your ankles. Dog power rules!)

DeleteI'd asked for a typewriter for my 9th birthday. My mum said 'Would you like a typewriter, or would you like a PUPPY?' We got Lucky, our cocker spaniel the next day. Dogs are the best. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JOHN. xx

He’s going to be 45, and I find that very hard to believe! It seems like just the day before yesterday that he was a gorgeous little boy, before the “shall we draw a blank over the ‘finding himself’ years” and now he’s a a wonderful husband and father and I have stopped worrying! I’m glad you’ve booked your trip to London, it will be something to look forward to as you work through all the ‘other stuff’. DeleteWell you’ve got the new skills now John . I know nursing is part of who we are and after over 40 yrs I did grieve a bit when I left but if you are feeling like that it’s time . I’m relieved to be away from the grief and constant problem solving .At 66 it was time . I feel lighter now and am enjoying my life and relationships with more attention and love . I know you need to earn a living too but you will be fine .
