Office

I’ve had quiet morning doing paperwork and catching up with bills and life organising.
I love working at my desk as it’s a comfortable sit…thank god for John Lewis’s rather expensive but bloody comfortable desk chair
The girls, as usual are asleep on the bed behind me .
Both are snoring after their walk
It’s stopped raining , so Albert is out hunting rabbits, I’ve seen him walk up the lane …he knows there are a few in the Churchyard and he is too old to climb the six foot wall.
He prefers now to walk through the gates.

I’ve booked tickets for Ode To Joy at the Philharmonic to compensate for the ones I missed yesterday
I’ve never heard it live .

The bills are all paid, (another satisfying job in itself) and I’ve booked to go to the cinema this afternoon in Chester.

  1. I had a bill come in through the post, opened it, took phone out of pocket, opened bank a/c, tapped in payee, paid it, job done 30 seconds. My office is largely redundant these days. And then I read your post.

    1. My banking “ paperwork” took mere minutes….most of the rest of the time was taken up with “ life paperwork” researching theatre , cinema, concerts, things to do on days off,
      Messaging friends, pottering

The Peaceable Kingdom on a bedspread! Poor Mary is still wearing the cone? I, too, love the wallpaper.
You're likely still in recovery mode, so a calm morning doing this and that is just what was needed.
    Hope the movie is good!

    Hugs!

  11. I quite enjoy office work too John but I have to choose a day when I am 'in the mood' - which is why I pay all regular bills by direct debit. I don't bank on line.

  13. they look comfy as only dogs (and cats) know how. If my experience of dogs is anything to go by, you could do with a darker bed cover!

  20. Your room looks so cozy with the pretty wallpaper and the sweet dogs sleeping, and snoring. In the evening when my little old Fuzzy Pom is softly snoring, and the wooden clock is tik-tokking away it is usually all I can do not to fall asleep.
