Lovely bit of music. I was just 23 when my first husband left me after just 3 years of marriage. I had to become very hard and nasty quite quickly - just for a while - to get through.Once it was over I went back to being me.
Chin up and forward, John, we're all rooting for you. Re: someone's remark a couple of posts back, I hope none of your furries are to go with the Prof??!! That should not be possible. I would hope that there is enough empathy around the cottage to ensure that this little pack of dogs and a cat is not broken up. I hope I haven't made you feel worse, but you must fight any attempts to do this. And I sincerely hope that it isn't true. I'll come over and barricade the door if you want.
Finishing that paperwork is an important step in the process you're in, dear John. And after that you will feel much less distressed. Best wishes from Downunder!
As I stare at that picture and listen, I know there is unfathomable beauty at distances beyond our current ability to see in this universe. There will be times ahead in your life more beautiful than you can imagine now, John.
You will look at the paperwork, you will read it, and you will deal with it...Crushing as that may be, I hope that soon...
- you can picture yourself reaching through it all - to see yourself dreaming about a future filled with love and happiness - and when you are able to - to start making that dream come true
Good grief, I went down the rabbit hole of listening to music on youtube for two hours!!! Not a minute wasted though, thank you for introducing us to this. I hope you and Mary had a lovely walk.
Beautiful! You are always sharing such lovely things with us - may I share one with you? This is one of the most moving and extraordinary videos I've ever seen, and the music is gorgeous, too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=5&v=HCddlkIlTbI
When I lost my husband and was left alone in a house we had just moved into, with no idea who was who and what was where, every day a kind person came to me and said or did something so sweet and touching. Loss is loss, however it happens ... you are grieving. Eat when you can, sleep when you want or when the dogs allow you to and just think of yourself ... and the dogs :) I was told it would get better, I couldn't imagine it .. things got better but there will always be that bruise on your heart .. you will live with it and not notice it after a while. love you
Am walking beside you as you continue to journey through this difficult part of your life's pathway, John. x
ReplyDeleteWishing you as much peace and equanimity as you need during and following this most disturbing time, JayGee.

I hope and believe that after the storm comes the peace and tranquility you deserve so much.
ReplyDeleteUplifting Music . . .
ReplyDeleteBet it makes you and Mary walk at a good clip!
Back home, finish the paper work, deliver it.
Pull the window shade down.
You’ll know when you are ready to open it back up.
Suggestion from a counselor, years back . . .
It helped.
Hard though it is just do it it will hang over your head until you do

Going for a walk is good for the body and the soul. Do what you have to do, and then look for what will lift your spirits.
