The press release has obviously come out as I saw it on here: http://www.occupydemocrats.com/pope-francis-kim-davis-is-a-liar-and-i-dont-support-her-bigotry/
Having worked in gorvernment with the people whose job it is to organsie Minister's itineraries etc, it's not very surprising that this happened - Popey wouldn't have had half a clue about it and it's like saying that someone who went to the Queen's Garden Party had been invited to Bucks for an intimate dinner with her. And clearly here are a few staffers at the Vatican who don't have much truck with Frank. I wonder if the offending staffer will end up on Craggy Island with an old drucnk and a half mad intern, like Father Ted? ;-) Either way, for me it isn't about defending the Pope but restoring your faith in humanity xoxoMrsC (Maryanne)https://www.blogger.com/profile/14440723067459232998noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20303812.post-13472116639450794782015-10-03T06:27:31.789+00:002015-10-03T06:27:31.789+00:00thanks, I've read it. Reading these comments, I was surprised at the general tone of disappointment, and perhaps shouldn't have been. This Pope has raised peoples hopes much more than I realized. All I can say is that the secular world is FINALLY coming around to acceptance of LGBTQs, and that maybe it's better to focus energy and attention on that. Keep your eye on the ball, in other words.

Speaking of the secular world, as an elected official Kim Davis is part of it. To paraphrase the heterosexual Harry S. We have a right to our opinions but "let he who is without sin cast the first stone." From more recent statements coming from the Vatican it appears that Kim's version of events was a little cockeyed to say the least! As a journalist myself I see this as a great fault in today's journalism: it is all played for sensationalism and divisiveness and, in that respect, it is wildly succeeding, unfortunately.Dianehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04878023047516773161noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20303812.post-18891311705942587692015-10-02T11:08:25.227+00:002015-10-02T11:08:25.227+00:00It thoroughly pisses me off at this bitch is getti...It thoroughly pisses me off at this bitch is getting all of this publicity for her bigoted narrow minded ness....lyndahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10273483704912191189noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20303812.post-31946772756273017502015-10-02T10:54:43.237+00:002015-10-02T10:54:43.237+00:00She can also be impeached, btw.She can also be impeached, btw.The Crankyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11482237436135513483noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20303812.post-77104548648327692602015-10-02T10:53:21.154+00:002015-10-02T10:53:21.154+00:00I work for local government and as such I have to ...I work for local government and as such I have to work with councillors who represent the BNP; an organisation I absolutely do NOT agree with but if I refused to work with them I'd be fired because that's part of the job and I don't have the luxury of refusing to do part of it - most civil servants don't.and I can't believe this woman is allowed to get away with this crap. If she can't do the job she should step aside and let someone who can do it, rather than ruining what should be a wonderfully special day for the celebrants. As to the Pope I may be mistaken here, but I thought he was meant to be a leader of a Christian faith and; again may be mistaken here as I'm not a practicer of that faith (or any); but I thought one of the basic tenets of that faith was love of one's fellow man; surely this is the message he should be taking forward not 'love of one's fellow man but only if they're not gay'. Seriously as long as it's between consenting adults and doesn't include children or animals who cares who does what with whom and how. That's why it's called a private life.
