Goats

I was in Llandudno yesterday and heard that the famous Kashmir Goats had come down from the storm lashed  Great Orme to cause havoc in the town. I only got a glimpse of one big guy trotting across the A546

  1. Isn't there a goat herder there somewhere?

    1. Haha .... well that wasn't the reply you expected was it!!

No there is no goat herder for these goats, they live wild on the Great Orme. They have minimal supervision and can stray pretty much wherever they want to. It's quite rare for them to come into town but in these extreme weather conditions I don't blame them for this little foray.

  2. Every time I have been north of Cardiff I have seen sheep walking around town. I thought it was normal.

    2. That's interesting. She had strong ties to those lands I think.

    3. Thinking about it, I suppose she was Emperor of those lands. Better for Wales than elephants.

Well, goats in town and on the highway is certainly something completely different! With apologies to Monty Python.

  7. Love the whole idea of goats in Llandudno - could only happen in Wales methinks.

  8. How perfect. Since they've been in Wales so long, you'd think they would have dropped the vowels: Kshmr.

  9. It looks like they are out on the razzle - hoping to nail a few Welsh sheep farmers.

  12. Goats are such amiable creatures, they love the company of humans but it seems the Kashmiri goats are not as social. Glad they can just wander into town if the weather is inclement.
