The Dead Return

The Walking Dead is back tonight
I've got a low calorie scotch egg to eat when I'm watching it.
Mary is not impressed

  2. Good grief, how does one make a low calorie scotch egg?

  3. Mary's a picture.

I had a dog that started watching TV. It made her daft as a brush. Sometimes she'd bark at the screen and other times she'd run behind it looking to see where an animal or a person had gone.

  6. I thought of you last night, John, as I was watching the 2nd episode of Season 2 of "The Durrells" which we're just seeing now on PBS. The Durrells were selling home-made foodstuffs in the local Greek marketplace to raise cash, but the mother's Scotch Eggs gave everyone food poisoning from the meat/egg being out in the hot Greek sun all day at the market.

Great programme! Many years ago, mid 70s actually, I worked in Corfu for Spiros (who was the son of Spiros who was their first friend on Corfu, the one who drove them around, trans lasted, enabled, etc). A man beyond middle aged when I met him but very proud of his father's friendship with the family. I recollect he was mentioned on page one of the novel that immortalised the Durrell name. MaggieB

    3. MaggieB, that's very cool! And John, I'd forgotten the name of his boat, glad you reminded me. I loved the book "My Family and Other Animals" and must have read it at least 6 times when I was young! By contrast, I only made it through his brothers "Alexandria Quartet" once, LOL!

  9. Perhaps you could have one of those mini scotch eggs....still naughty but not quite as many calories or just send them to me in Sussex and out of temptation's reach if you prefer!

So I know some but not everything. I Liked the new episode but I wonder why on a few thing but can't say anything till you watch it.
