Well that's a little disturbing, especially bunny with phallic carrot! Disturbing but bloody funny. Gives a new meaning to Easter for those poor kids.
Some people are afraid of clowns. Now I think I am afraid of Easter Bunny.
Ditto ! And clowns.
Oh My Goodness !
Scary, I'd be afraid too! I was scared of father Christmas, because when I was three, a horrible man told me that father Christmas brought presents to good children but took naughty children away with him, in his sack, to transform them into working elves! Greetings Maria x
It is a wonder, children survive to adulthood without all becoming a little nuts - or are we all a little nuts?
Holy Moley!!! We are a weird mob..I have no idea why rabbits have anything to do with Easter or chocolate for that matter. Has it got something to do with putting fun stuff into a serious historical event? Those kids pics..classic!
They represent fertility which was and still is, part of the Pagan tradition for the spring celebration whether we remember that or not. No. I'm not a Pagan. Or, well, maybe I am. But not formally or anything.
Yep, definitely a pagan here and yes it symbolises spring fertility, both with the eggs and rabbits/hares. The chocolate bit, however, is an invention of the chocolate industry and a very successful one at that!
They all look like stills from episodes of The Twilight Zone.
Scary stuff, John!
Every one of those Rabbits is horrifying ~ If I saw one as an adult, now , I would still cry.
You have found some seriously creepy bunnies.
Second from the top, the poor kid looks literally petrified, frozen in terror!
It's like watching the U.S. presidential campaign debate all over again.
Are those from Awkward Family Photos?
Those are some creepy bunnies.Remember the Easter episode of The Vicar of Dibley ? Much better than the above bunnies.cheers, parsnip
I never laughed so much at Easter photos. The first one looks like the Easter Werewolf caught some children and the second is bunnies from Mars!
Mutant rabbits from hell,John. The only rabbit i want is a chocolate one.
Kids scared witless, their 'caring' parents making them pose with a beast from Hell. More please!
I don't know what to say! I thought bunnies were cute creatures. Illusion shattered!!
Jesus! ...no pun intended, well, maybe.
Ye gods! Terrifying. Funny though. Happy Easter to all of you. xx
Those poor kids! Must all be American? Made me laugh out loud...does that make me an evil woman ?
I really had to laugh but those kids look terrified !
Terrifying! Happy Easter. May you steer clear of the big scary Easter Bunny.
A prominent phallus sculpture in somebody's front garden in Austria has been covered with an orange condom for Easter.
Those pictures are hilarious. Thanks for sharing.
That last one is Jack Nicholson, surely?
So sinister - especially the last one!!!
We are taking the kids on an Egg hunt today and the Easter Bunny is supposed to be there for photos. I'll try to post a picture if I can get any of them to stand still long enough. Hopefully it's a happier occasion than those pictured above. Happy Easter John.
I wonder if those poor kids are still having nightmares? Those bunnies are seriously weird, and more than a little threatening. I'd cry too !
I would have screamed if any of those bad boys had come near me let alone my kids. What happened to cute and cuddly. Psychopathic bunnies. Eek
OMW those children are terrified of the bunnies ! Thanks Ms Moon and TL Merribard for the explanation. The chocolate industry definitely scored on this one!
So disturbing! I feel sorry for both the children AND the rabbit in that first picture. The poor guy was probably just trying to do something fun for the kiddies!
Those made me laugh!! Such hideous representations of lovely, cute, cuddly animals. Dear god, who thought that giant carrot was a good addition?? -Jenn
This is like the website "Sketchy Santas." When these kids grew up they probably helped put their therapists' kids through college.
In the second picture I think they used a mirror image of the one weird bunny and 1/2 of the kid. notice 2 buttons on his coat and the bunny hands joined?? But WHY?
Some scary ges here John and in my innocence not sure what to make of the last but one!
These pics are marginally less scary than the chicken header! Poor kids, enough to make them have nightmares for years.
Trigger warning: I have nothing "nice" to say to this. Which doesn't stop me saying something. How a fairly large proportion of your readers can find those pictures "funny" and "hilarious" is beyond me. What is "funny" about small children being scared shitless? The first photo is particularly disturbing. Seen something similar happen to both my brother and my youngest sister when they were mere toddlers. Naturally, there was an "adult" (call him a jerk), photo journalist (friend of my parents), who documented their distress with his shooter. To my then twelve year old self it felt obscene that none of the adults, not even my parents, intervened. Oh, did they laugh.I hate those photos [of my siblings]. And if anyone had ever done anything like that to the apple of my own eye (my son) before he was old enough to look out for himself they'd had had another thing coming. Please, John, whatever you may say, do not accuse me of lack of humoUr. It is the last and lame defense of those who run out of ideas when met with a view controversial to their own. Yes, I know that was a side dig - and he whom I dug here richly deserves it.Happy Easter to you too, John. May you not be jumped.U
Ye gods, the bunnies are taking over! Easter has clearly been ruined for the little girl in the yellow dress....
Happy Easter to you and the Prof and to all of your little beasties.
I didn't like the bunnies pictures either. I thought of peodo people when I looked at the pictures. Happy Easter Johnx
My first thoughts too. Not at all funny - those poor kids, bet they hate Easter.
May the Festival of Oestrus give you and your farmyard rebirh and regeneration.
Happy Easter John and Prof.Greetings Maria x
Aaarrgghh!!Happy Easter to you too :-)
I have not laughed that much in a long time. I had tears rolling down my face.
That's exactly how I feel about Santa.
I love comments and will now try very hard to reply to all of themPlease dont be abusive x
