Relating to point 5 in the previous post
The Prof has promised me a trip back to the big apple next year
if I reach my desired weight loss! 
Off for a power walk!

  8. Weaver has already made the suggestion I was about to type. Yes, this is a walking city. On the Manhattan grid, as you probably know, 20 north-south blocks equal a mile. Easy peasy to stroll and window shop or look at architecture (trying to avert one's eyes from horrid Trump facades.) Do keep me posted on this travel plan.

  16. Just concentrate on going to New York with or without the weight judging by the photo of you giving the speech you look fine just the way you are if you want to loose weight do it for yourself not because of what some one else says.

  19. I had a deal like that with my better half ..goal weight for an MGB! I got it :) and still have it but lost the waistline over time...it's harder to keep off than lose IMHO
