British Politics Is Now Interesting!

George Osborne given the boot by Mz May!

Bloody hell, a few months of politics have passed and I'm hooked!
Another formidable woman is in charge of our country, Boris Johnson is our voice to the world ( !) and Mr Cameron leaves number 10 with his head held high.
What an exciting time!
I've been watching the relay storyline of the new Cabinet with interest only to have a brief break to watch  long lost family on tv tonight!
God I was sobbing like a broke whore when the dirt poor Central American woman met the grown daughter she had been forced to be adopted by a uk couple due to poverty and desperation.
She knelt at her daughter's feet begging forgiveness as the invasive cameras rolled...
I cried like a baby

What interesting times you live in. May May be remembered better than your former female PM.

  2. Yes, your current politics are interesting, and move at a pace that I do prefer to what's going on over here. Ms May's appointments are quite a mix. Does she wish to keep her enemies close, or does she actually thing these folks will be good at their posts?

Re your previous post, I do trust my instincts about people. It served me well when interviewing job applicants, and even helps with certain family situations.

Your pups look so dear...each of them.

    Best wishes.

  4. I'm finding british politics intereesting too! And I live in America where we have been having pretty interesting political drama. What is amazing to me is how fast the primes minister was replaced. Lightening speed compared to the changing of the guard here. How do you know how a broke whore reacts??

but I do hope that Mrs May helps us get back on track and out of the mess we are in.

  7. Have no fear, Boris is a clever chap and would be welcomed (and possibly feared) at any foreign legislature.

  8. Me too John, I rarely cry at anything on tv, but that moment had me sobbing. I gave a daughter up for adoption who would be 38 now (in N.Wales!) and I often wonder ...
Also our politics have me interested for the first time ever xx

  9. I've never been interested in politics until now, now I just can't keep away from the BBC 24 hour news! I think Mrs May will be good, and I'm sure she'll be able to handle Boris, what's more I think she'll be able to handle Nicola Sturgeon too....

  10. That's a rather unfortunate photo ! Long lost family is compelling... the one who went to Singapore who was not featured for legal reasons but went on to have a second child put up for adoption; I'm so glad these half siblings have each other now.

  11. Boris Johnson as Foreign Secretary? Well she has a sense of humour, that is clear.

  13. British politics interesting? Yes. Maybe a bit embarrassing, too, do you think? Boris Johnson as Foreign Secretary? Donald Trump, Republican nominee for US President? Very strange times.

    1. I like the idea of Boris bumbling his way around the globe, putting his foot in it just about everywhere, and then being forced into apologies that no one believes. Whatever else he is, he always delivers 'entertainment' value.
I'm also quite cheered by seeing Mrs May giving (most of) the leading Brexiteers the job of negotiating with the E.U. on withdrawal terms, and seeing their explanations when they'll have to draw back on their anti-immigration stances in return for some limited access to the E.U. market. These Brexiteers have just the personalities to rub up the E.U. leaders the wrong way. 'Strange times' indeed, but could also be a lorra fun!

  14. I find her cleavage distracting. Am I the only one? Reminds me of "plumbers crack" as we call it here in the U.S.

  16. Agreeing with Victoria, it does look like he's looking down her cleavage.
