Blooms

I've not got much time to catch up on blog replies at the moment. Yesterday was a case in point what with trying to sort out a broken log burner and getting quotes for new window frames.
This morning I had to face the gauntlet of clipping the Prof's hair for the very first time.
(A job more daunting than learning the haemofiltration machine on intensive care! )

So, I shall leave you with some photos I took yesterday. There was a wedding in the village and the lych gate was decorated with pink and white roses, which were pretty enough, but the laburnum , which is situated just west of the main door, stole the show.
Wales has been blessed with beautiful weather this week

Blessed with beautiful weather, unlike on the continent. I should think The Prof is rather fastidious about his hair. I am surprised he entrusted you to trim it.

  7. Such a pity laburnum is poisonous - it is so beautiful. I read 'clipping' as 'dipping' John re the Prof's hair - wasn't sure whether you meant dye or sheep dip being a farmer's wife.

  8. I had to double back find out what on earth you and the dogs had done to window frames that they needed replacing, but I'm no wiser. Do tell?!

  9. Gorgeous lych gate floral decorations. How did the hair trimming turn out? I have started cutting my own recently and have been cutting Dennis's for more than 30 years. Think of all the money and, more importantly, time we have saved!

  11. I do hope by now that Chris is over the trauma of your barber skills in action - or the fear of it. Why do they ask to be put in that situation in the first place?

  12. My husband asked me to cut his hair one time ... I was terrified .. it was so easy !! And he didn't divorce me so I guess I was pretty good at it. But I don't want to do it again.
It was stressful wasn't it ? and you are so relieved when it looks ok :)

  14. Those photos with the Welsh sun shining are quite lovely.

Do you have special scissors for hair trimming. I have some that I use for my fringe...helps to sort of keep an open view, and prolongs the excellent professional cuts I get from my stylist.

Sorry about the mystery cat being struck by a car, but very glad that wandering Albert was elsewhere.

Happy weekend to you and yours.

  15. If the Prof requires styling (as opposed to the buzz cut I give myself), I too would prefer a whatsamadoohicky in the ICU! Those roses are beautiful; the laburnum, spectacular!

  16. The laburnum is stunningly beautiful. I bet you cut Chris' hair better than anyone else has ever before. Did you see the bridal couple?

  19. Those pink and white roses are gorgeous. I didn't have a pretty wedding. I had an even less pretty divorce. The Prof should go to a barber.
