My Best Side

The sedation didn't touch the sides
So I merrily watched the insides of my colon with a chatty, sweet natured
Filipino nurse who I told , I was a farmer.
I didn't want to say that I was a nurse,
Playing dumb can be sometimes very useful.

Thank you for all your best wishes and colon stories...I didn't know just how many
of you out there in blogland has had a camera up their arse!
By the end of the investigation, after bits and pieces were  biopsied
the Filipino nurse asked me what I though of the video
" I'm cleaner on the inside than I usually am on the outside"
I told her

  1. My gastroenterologist said that the coming recommendations for colonoscopies will be two clear tests, then that will be all that is necessary. Hope, hope.

  3. Oh, (relieved sigh) you're still making jokes, then it all came out right... I'm glad you were taken good care of, perhaps this nurse was particulary fond of farmers....Hope the results won't take long!

  4. "There, there Dear, All over now" Glad you're home and all's well. I am presuming the Prof drove you - or did you have to stay until you were fit to drive?

  21. Had two. First one was an "emergency" Second was a follow up. The prep solution is pure evil.

Gastroscopy both times as well, and no the cameras don't meet in the middle.

Absolutely no memory of either procedure. Drugs, lots of is my hospital's policy

Spousal Unit had his done at a different hospital and woke up towards the end and watched.

    Drugs, give me drugs.

  24. "Didn't touch the sides", not sure what you mean, but obviously you were aware enough to watch the video feed. Can I at least hope that you didn't feel any pain??? Glad it is all over with. I would celebrate with food, but that's just me. -Jenn

  29. I'm glad that's out of the way, but I'm guessing that between now and the results will be the most worrying time for you. I hope you don't have to wait too long for some good results, John. xx
