Ma'am as in Spam

No, it's not a joke.....what has .the Bishop, the Flower Show Secretary and the admiral! Got in common?
Well they all went to a garden party at Buckingham Palace yesterday that's what they have in common. How amazing is that?,
My sister was one of the chosen few who donned their best tucker and alongside The Queen Prince Philip, Prince Charles and Princess Anne  sipped tea and ate afternoon snacks on the manicured lawns of Buckingham Palace.
Not bad for a Prestatyn gal eh?

Not had much access to internet at the moment so comment/replies may be thin on the ground ( Stephenson please note)

If one must indulge in tea-sipping, that is definitely the place to do it.

    1. I think he's a Queen's Chaplain. There are several of them and one of their duties is to attend garden parties and talk to the guests.

  15. How perfect your sister looks for the occasion. Good on her for being invited to Buckingham Palace. I had tea with the Queen way back in 2005. Now how's that for a South African? My mother was a British Royalist and I followed suit. xx

  17. Is it considered proper to drop bits like this into casual conversations? "Oh, the last time I had tea at the palace with the Queen ..."

  18. I don't know about "polite" but I think I might not be able to control that urge ... Oh yes, when I was having tea with the Queen, so and so said ... blah blah blah " ...

  19. I am SO impressed. And I love the frock on the lady behind your sister!

  20. Ann looks lovely and such an appropriate outfit for a " flower show secretary " ... Tea with the queen one week and then back to reality...manning the tea tent for the Prestatyn Classic Car Show the next.

  25. I'm most impressed! You'll also be able to pepper conversations with lines like "When my sister was having afternoon tea with the Queen, she said...."
I note that Ann has very stylish clothes sense - no baggy trackies for her!!
