You Can't Beat a Plump Cushion!

One of my guilty purchases

We are in Liverpool. The Prof and his mum are shopping, I was going to the Tate Gallery but it's shut! So whilst the others are giving Zara a bashing, I have done what any self respecting gay man over forty does,I have had to settle for the soft furnishings department of John Lewis.......
Let it be known now,and I am out and proud......... I love nice cushions!
There I've said it!

All cushioned out.......I had a doze at Albert Dock
This shopping lark is hard work

  8. I am not a cushion person but I believe it's because I've never seen an awesome one like that. Must go investigate the cushion section of the nearest store to see if things have improved from 25 years ago.

  9. A person can never have too many cushions.
Too few just makes the sofa look mean.

  10. Lush. Nearly have cushion envy. Would be v. good for my seaside home except it might remind me of real live devil spawn that seagulls are round here x

  12. I'm not over keen on shopping generally, but I have to say that I could bankrupt myself in the soft furnishings department of John Lewis.

  14. Shopping for anything fills me with horror John. But I quite fancy the idea of a quiet doze on that Albert Dock. It is years since I went there but not a lot looks to have changed. Only the water looks much bluer!!

    Cute cushion. Are they puffins?

  17. I love cushions. My black poodle loved to snuggle along the couches and push all the cushions off. They always end up on the floor .

  18. Plus, cushions give Winnie something to hump other than the fluffy slippers, or is she a monogamous humper? :)

I was in Waitrose in Chester this morning, half expected to see you!
Started the shopping in the right way, with a bacon filled ciabatta and a latte!
I love visiting the Tate at Albert Dock, it's such fun listening to people 'knowing' what the artist was trying to portray!
I recommend a day spent at the Lady Lever Art Gallery in Port Sunlight, Wirral, the best collection of stunningly beautiful Pre-Raphaelite paintings you're ever likely to see!
That picture of Albert Dock wasn't taken today was it? If it had the water and sky would have been grey and miserable!

  28. I've just recently gotten into whimsical cushions! They add a nice splash of color for a little investment. I do like the birds, like an ode to Hitchcock.

  30. Albert Dock - I know it well. Jenny and I have stayed at the Premier Inn a couple of times. Absurd that the Tate is closed on a public holiday when everyone wants a little outing. What are they playing at?
