Operation Dog Snot Removal

The spare room in the West Wing has been spring cleaned in readiness for the mother in law's arrival.
It didn't take too long, the room is the size of a nun's cell.
I've bathed the dogs , bought more scented candles that would sink the Queen Mary and am just in the process of washing the fanny stains from the couch throws.
My life is one heady whirl of excitement......the Prof is wisely working away until tomorrow night

  2. Just when I start to feel down about how messy my house always is because of all these animals that live with me, I read your blog and feel better! I sometimes actually chuckle when I'm cleaning up bird poop or dog hair, because I know the odds are good that you're 3000 miles away doing the same kind of task at the same time!

Cleaning up after a houseful of pets is a full time job, isn't it?

  5. Dog snot or cat litter in the bed .. it is all a part of Life.
My son lives in a sterile environment. Yes, the boy who washed once a year when he was a teen. Now he is a father. God help us.
Dogs are good for blaming if anything happens, if there is a spot of snot anywhere... tsk tsk, that damned dog wiped her nose on the pillow again ..
    Have a good time ..

  6. Cat snot is so bad that it makes dog snot look good. I speak from bitter experience....

  9. Bedroom might be small but it looks so cosy and inviting. Your MIL is a lucky lady. (My old airedale used to suffer the occasional bout of ear mite. She would shake her head and dog snot would fly everywhere.)

  20. Pretty spare room... when can I come & stay ?!

I realised after they left that my niece did not put her baby down to kick on the floor because of dog / cat hairs... it never did my two much harm !
