  7. Thanks for providing this information. I met Maureen O'Hara long ago in California at a cocktail party. She was there with her friend actor John Wayne and his wife Pilar Pallete.

Maureen O'Hara was as beautiful in real as she was on film, and she was charming and gracious. She will be missed.

    2. John, I wrote a blog post about this long ago, and I plan to write about it again in my next one (soon, I hope).

I hadn't heard that she passed away until I saw this post. I'm so glad that you mentioned it.

  8. She lived a long and interesting life. Her family said that she passed away listening to music from her favorite movie, The Quiet Man. I saw that film on TV when I was a young girl. It was and probably will always be one of the sexiest movies I have ever watched. Nothing was shown, but oh my, what it implied.

  9. A very beautiful woman, some where I have one of those studio photos that were sent out to people like me who were very young and requested one. Have a vague recollection of seeing her once, did she come to Oz?

  11. "How Green Was My Valley" -- fab! Though I must admit I did not realize she was still alive. She had to be up there in age.

  14. 'The Quiet Man', the scene where he grabs her and kisses her passionately, leaving her weak at the knees. Brilliant. RIP Beautiful Redhead. x
