Seduced In Sainsbury's

Della, who reads Going Gently , works on the deli counter in Sainsbury's .
She caught sight of me this morning pushing my trolley, gave me one of those " yoooohoooo" lady calls and waved a premium scotch egg in my direction.
Not fair!
It was like a snake hypnotising a rabbit
I had one wrapped immediately.
How's that for will power......?
and  ate the bloody thing between the toilet rolls and washing powder aisles ( don't worry I paid for it)
and must admit that I was disappointed ......it was dry as a nun's chuff
That will teach me.

I'll leave you with some more International veg entres.....

  4. Is 'dry as a nun's chuff' the same as 'dry as a witch's tit'?

  9. Never knew what one was before I heard it from you. I think if they were to catch on in the US, they'd have to have something to dip them in like a ranch/siracha dressing.

  10. I burst out laughing at the nun's chuff bit! Don't give in to Della's deli offering again. Just think every time you are tempted to eat a scotch egg, think of the nun's dry chuff and you will immediately be put off! Great veg entries!

  14. The only thing worse than foregoing a treat is indulging in one and finding it doesn't measure up to your dreams. By then the calories are already taken in, along with the disappointment!
