Prof's Birthday

It's the Prof's birthday today
So in way of celebration I have tried on his official Prof's cap which has been temptingly been left out for an " official do" next week
I've been dying to play with it for ages!
( I didn't have time to run around in his grey cape as he was coming up the stairs!)
Hey ho
Anyhow
We are off for lunch at Bodnant gardens with Sorrel then afternoon tea at Bodysgallen Hall. Mrs Trellis has invited us all for champagne and stawberries tomorrow

  2. All hail and many happy ones to the Prof! Long may he prosper, doing what he does best, whatever that may be.
From the looks of it he has a bigger head than yours, no doubt as a requisite to accommodate that extra helping of brains with which he was born.

Have a nice day, the both of you - and do give all our regards to the excellent and irreplaceable Mrs T.

  3. Oh my goodness don't leave the Prof's hat out anywhere near Winnie. Think of the scandal should she move on from the slippers... And also make sure it is never the only soft material available when you are behind the goose hut. How does the civilised chap tolerate the two of you? I suppose Albert adds a bit of refinement to his life though, except when he's licking his arse of course (Albert licking Albert's arse, that is...)

    1. Sorrel has pink slippers which winnie has been eying up
They are " The pink slippers of sin"

    2. Not sure which would be the worse outcome - the pink slippers of sin or the Professorial Hat of Humping.

Either way Winnie may be banished to the goose house and only one species would come out of that incarceration alive.

So lock up the soft fabrics.

A cape too eh? Must be 'Superprof' living his secret identity in a small Welsh village ;-) My birthday today too so it's nice to know I'm in good company!

I often wondered if you wear your saint hood under your knight hood or over the top. It looks like a prof's hat would fit over both! Happy birthday to The Prof.

I thought the hat was actually a vacuum cleaner bag or something.

  29. Please wish Chris a happy birthday from Peter and me. Enjoy your afternoon tea at Bodysgallen; it's so civilised and just the venue for a Professor's birthday!

  30. PS - love the hat - agree that there is something reminiscent of Thomas Cromwell there...

  31. To wear a Prof hat you must earn it. Lecturing in Rural Studies and writing a book about the sex habits of blind turkeys and randy bulldogs should stand you in good stead. Professor Gray has a nice ring to it - like a character in Cluedo.

    1. I think younare right......
But two professor Burton Gray's in the cottage would be too much
Who would clean up the crap stains?

    2. The Professor of Crap and Fanny Cleansing, of course... The title has a ring to it that might suit you, don't you think? The EU might even give you research funding (I've known them to fund sillier things, I really have).

Champagne and strawberries, eh? How decadent!

  33. I hope there will be enough sherry to merit the Prof's hat. How often I have been shortchanged myself in that regard.

  37. His head is obviously bigger then yours! Jay's academic hat is dark blue with a braided gold tassel. He seldom wears the outfit.

Happy Birthday to the good Professor, and many more to come.

    Enjoy! DG

  38. I hope he had a very Happy Birthday, it sounds like a good one with what you had planned.

Now you just have to snaffle that cape for a selfie opportunity ;-)

  40. Happy birthday to the Prof. Don't let Winnie get a hold of that hat, a la the pink fluffy slippers incident. I like the name Mrs. Trellis, she MUST be a gardener.
