  1. The grass is green! It cannot possibly be like spray painting the baseball grass green in April; I'm sure it's the real deal.

  4. Geography was never my strong suit, so can someone tell me why Wales is closer to the North Pole than I am (and all US readers are) and yet we have three bloody feet of snow and more coming TWICE by the end of the week and John has green grass?!

    1. We have the gulf stream, too, right past our door, but after watching the news now I gather the gulf stream is doing battle with the Siberian Express (a big swoosh of frigid air being shared with North America by Siberia - thanks, guys!) and the SE is winning :)

Ah well, enjoy your green grass on behalf of all of us poor slobs buried in snow and ice!

  6. Winnie appears to be singing, "The hills are alive with The Sound of Music!" Is she a soprano?

  11. Lovely...... master and mistress of all they survey.

I think dogs get as much of a buzz as we do at being high up.

  15. Here is my offering for your wedding - with apologies to the Bard - some of his lines and one or two of my own (and in case you are wondering, the 'lovely boys' is Shakespeare's!

Sweet love renew thy force; be it not said
'tis writ in moods and frowns and wrinkles strange.
Oaths of thy love, thy truth, thy constancy
triumph in love the more the years pass by.
Thou my lovely boys who in thy power
dost hold times fickle glass, his sickle hour.
Richer than wealth, prouder than garments cost -
still constant in a wondrous excellence.
Wild music burthens forth on every bough
and joyous song proclaims your union now!

Very many happy returns of your joyous day! With love from
    Weaver and her farmer.

  20. I can never get mine to stay in the same place long enough to snap a pic. Ok part of the problem is it takes me a long time to get myself ready to snap a pic! The village seems safe indeed with those two.
