Stabtown ( The Walking Dead eps 4)

Beth...at least this time she didn't sing...well not for long that is

I've been out of sorts today......so the highlight of this Monday would be ( of course) the latest
Walking Dead Chapter
To be honest I wasn't looking forward to Beth's stand alone episode, but the story of her adventures in the creepy Atlanta hospital was a cracking hour. Beth, in series three and four did very little but sing, hold baby Judith and get drunk with Daryl, so it was a welcome change seeing her chew a bit of the zombie scenery....kick some ass and hold her own with an OCD policewoman and a rather tense set piece in a zombie filled elevator shaft.
I also think that new character Noah ( Tyler James Edwards) will be a warm and welcome character
to team Rick
Apart from the season opener, Stabtown has been the best episode to date!

  1. I have never watched this show but my daughter is so obsessed with it, she dressed her 2-year old son in a Darryl Dixon costume for Halloween. She made it herself and he was adorable. His papa even made him a crossbow.

  2. Oh, thank you, John!
I guess there is some new (this year) zombie series with D. J. Qualls - he is probably a shirttail relative, there are so many Qualls in this part of the country. DH watches, I don't.
Just some day I would like to see my ranking on google NOT ask me if I mean D. J.!
    :D

  4. Raised by Hershel, trained by Daryl...Beth will give us some surprises. I expected Carol to jump up and help Beth break out...maybe next time.

  5. "and a rather tense set piece in a zombie filled elevator shaft"

Yes, I can see how that might make for a tense moment...

Well it would if I could just even briefly take the whole zombie scenario thing seriously, not that I've ever given it a chance, or ever will, I suspect.

On more serious matters, how are you getting on with Winnie's fanny?

  7. The internet is awash with bad reviews for that episode. Hmmm. My son and daughter are taking a picture with Daryl at Comic Con this weekend. I'll tell them to tell Daryl that John says hello.

  9. Yet another group of psychopaths with secrets, seems like Team Rick are the only sane group left in the world.

  10. Not a favorite episode for us. When Beth started humming I looked over at the whoa-man and said, 'Oh please God, no singing from her.' But, now we know who is with Daryl at Team Rick's camp?

Is Carol 'really' hurt or is it a set up? Reinforcements on the way! So many scenarios come to mind.

  11. I just can't wait for Beth to get eaten. But she won't 'cause they only kill off characters I like, you know except Shane and Andrea.

  12. I'm worried about Carol too, especially since she is one of the few with common sense. Sunday cannot come soon enough.
