This morning I sat down at the kitchen table and made a list of all of those jobs I have been meaning to do but havent quite got around to sorting
Chit Potatos and sort onion sets for planting
Book afternoon tea at Bodysgallen Hall for Chris' Birthday
Book a nice restaurant for when Sorrel visits.
Find a local to lock the birds up on Friday ( we are off to the theatre to see Priscilla!!)
Dog Insurance for Winifred,
Price up new toilet bowls ( remember Albert chipped the bog after running into the bathroom with a rat!)
AND ITS STARTED TO LEAK WHEN YOU FLUSH!
Organise a trip for us to go to sheffield for a friend's 50th
look at venues and dates for our civil partnership!
I think I have almost ticked everything off!!!!!!
tee hee
How come the most important one is last John! Tut, tut x
ReplyDeleteCouldn't the venue be with all your menagerie for your civil partnership? You could be in wellies in the field and have a marquee and all the locals could help with the buffet aftwerwards. Do you think Chris would be up for that? (I already know the answer) x
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the civil partnership!
ReplyDeleteawwwwwwww, I like Simone idea but maybe a small posh room somewhere might be nice too.
ReplyDeletecheers, parsnip
You and your list put me to shame!
ReplyDeletePS: Congratulations!!!!!!!!! (I thought you two were already hitched, and you were pulling our collective leg)
DeleteNot hitched as yet! X
DeleteDid I miss something or were you keeping that last bit quiet, until now?
ReplyDeleteWhen anyone mentions anything about it, he moves on! Right?

DeleteOh John how lovely...not the new loo but the last comment!
ReplyDeleteYour tee hee gave you away.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
We are all invited, right? Perhaps you could register for a new "bog," and we could all, you know....CHIP IN! Bwahahaha!
ReplyDeleteSaw Priscilla in Norwich, thoroughly enjoyed it. Lots of laughs, good cast and fabulous costumes. Oh and congratulations re getting hitched. Can all the doggies go to the ceremony, I do hope so. I can see Winifred in a posh hat.
ReplyDeleteDid I read somewhere that gay marriage is legal in the UK from this weekend John? If so, do hope you are going for it. My gay friends have a civil partnership - am meeting them for lunch on Friday, so shall get their views. Love Jan B's idea of the doggies at the ceremony.
ReplyDeleteYes that's the plan pat.
DeleteBuy a hat!
and, warming to the theme, can the terriers all have sailor suits?
DeleteChit potatoes?
ReplyDeleteP.S. - Bath is a hot-spot for civil partnerships (and Hen Nights). A couple of lesbians are getting hitched at the Roman Baths in a few weeks. You could invite me!
DeleteI will!
DeleteYou could also invite me ….. I make a great civil partnership guest ….. I've been to two in the past year !!!! XXXX
DeleteIf you come to New Zealand you could get married... just sayin! xoxo
ReplyDeleteExactly what I was going to say, Mrs C.
DeleteCongratulations!! I am very happy for you and Chris. I think that leaky toilet would be my #1 priority though!!
ReplyDeleteWish I could be there! So happy for you both. Lots of excitement coming soon for you! And a busy time ahead :)
ReplyDeleteHmm, sudden announcement of knot-tying... Own up. Which one of you is pregnant?
ReplyDeleteBy the look of my tummy

Susan xxx

DeleteCongratulations to both of you.
ReplyDeleteJx
As I was reading down your list, I thought fixing the toilet should have been first on the list. Then I saw your last item and, wow, John, that deserved a banner. Congratulations to you both!!! Just remember you will have to find space to fit your family, the townsfolk of Trelawnwd, and all 698 of us, your loving followers.
ReplyDeleteAww....sniff sniff! Verra happy for you both and can't wait to see the pics!
ReplyDeleteWow. What to wear? You, I mean. And Chris.
ReplyDeletexoxo
Forget Bath; Brighton Pavilion is the spot for you and Chris.

ReplyDeletegreat news glad to hear you fixing loo no only kidding look forward to hearing build up to the great day
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I'm so happy for you guys :-)
ReplyDeleteForgot to say how happy I am for you both ….. you are going to have the most wonderful day ….. just don't wear your crocs with your suit !! XXXX
ReplyDeleteSince I do have to maintain my reputation as a hard nosed bitch I shall not congratulate you and Chris but do offer you my condolences (whilst quietly weeping into my handkerchief having lost all hope of ever garnering your heart - exclusively).
ReplyDeleteAs it happens my toilet is leaking too. Unlike yours mine doesn't have an excuse - no Albert chasing a rat in my vicinity.
Other than that: I love lists. They make you ponder the futility of life. Think poor old Sisyphus. He really had it hard.
Hug,
U
Congratulations and best wishes to you both I am looking forward to seeing pics of your special day - will any of the animals be there? Jane xx
ReplyDeleteBusy,busy, busy!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
A friend's husband, who is a rather staid school teacher, booked tickets for Priscilla thinking it was based on the history of some Egyptian queen! Still, I believe he enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the show and congratulations to you and Chris!
