Sherlock- the finale

Sherlock's new long armed, fireplace pissing nemesis
The finale? The f@*#ing finale?
It's  only the THIRD FUCKING EPISODE!
How can it be the finale already?
Anyhow...it was..... And unfortunately Sherlock has become all a bit too clever for itself
I still loved it
But............
And there just HAD to be a but..........

  2. Yes, I got a bit cross* too. It feels a bit like 'Hustle' with the double crossing and triple crossing.
Is it incestuous with Martin and Benedict with the whole Hobbit/Sherlock crossover.....or am I being too damn nerdy??
Love Moriarty, he gives good madness.
    susan xx
*But then I got cross watching The Hobbit, Desolation of yadda yadda yesterday!!!

  3. And here's me thinking he was just 'marking' his territory.......(The chap with the glasses)
It's sooo clever though, you have to forgive them (Script writers) for wanting to keep the series, for you wanting more.
Funny, I thought it was his glasses too! Easily led me!

  5. It just made me realise that I am THICK as 2 short planks! I just cannot follow it.
Maybe I should stick to CBeebies. I understand Mr. Tumble and his sign language.

  9. My wife missed the last half hour and asked me to précis it for her. That was an exercise in extreme mental gymnastics, I can tell you.

  10. I absolutely LOVED it, my daughter and I were glued to the telly. I loved the bit where Molly was talking him through how not to die ..... awesome! I also thought he deserved it when she slapped him lol.

  12. I absolutely loved it (but I always do). But you are right,.,,,,3 episodes????? If this were another English speaking country (no names mentioned) there would be 23 episodes per series and no excuses!

  13. I know!! The British series makers have no idea of length .

American shows have a run of up to 28 episodes with mid-season breaks and so much more. Sometimes I think they are much too long and the stories drag out unnecessarily, there HAS to be a compromise somewhere!!

    1. Alas - a lot of our US drama series are no longer more than 5-10 episodes before a stop. Some of them don't even get a series finale - they just never come back. If I had the patience I'd wait until series comes out on DVD. *sigh*

  15. It was very clever indeed, but I was a bit exhausted by the end...no wonder they can only do three at a time

  18. No complaints from me, apart from only having three episodes per so called series :)

  19. I know the feeling. I only started watching recently and was delighted to know that series three had only just started and looking forward to catching up on hours and hours. But no, just three episodes per series. I even went back and watched part of the unaired pilot, I was so sure there just had to be more. At least each episode is 90 minutes. Now, I'd better go and catch up on last night's one.

  20. "Sherlock's new long armed, fireplace pissing nemesis" could be my twin brother. I have a Doppelganger!

  21. I quite honestly couldn't make head nor tail of it but somehow still enjoyed it, especially the bit with the real life parents of BC and the sequence where Mum caught the brothers smoking....but then I'm extremely easy to please!

  22. The first episode of this season is coming up--Jan 19, I think. So, mister, do not give out any spoilers! I mean it!

  23. Completely bonkers - but, like most commenting here, I love it!
Does that mean all your followers are a little bit mad too?

  24. Well, because I had heard so much about how wonderful it all was I made myself watch all three episodes. I can say I didn't think much of the second episode -- it was a bit over the top for me -- over-cooked, so to speak. The first episode was a it confusing, but interesting enough. The third was quite amazing, though perhaps the twists and turns twisted and turned a little too fast and furious for my brain cells!
