It's grim up north

Chris is working in London, and suited and booted will be just about tucking into a lovely Meal in a posh restaurant in Covent Garden right now
I am sat in my long John's and woolly hat in front of the fire with a cat on my shoulder

  2. Hey John - You sound like a typical Canadian right now. Add a bit of maple syrup to the toast and you've nailed it. Hugs

  6. but you know that the poop and grim that you may accidentally find in your house is from your animals. and not some grim dirty urchin rubbing it on the escalator hand rail going to the tube! ew retching at the thought. let alone the black bogeys. yuck yuck

best off with the fur babies and some nice tea to go with your toast and beans.. yum

  14. I could just eat a plate of Heinz Baked Beans on buttered toast! We can get tins of baked beans here but they are from South Africa and just don't taste the same. The brand name of these beans is Koo, by the way, Doesn't have the same ring to it as Heinz, does it?

  16. Make it toast with a fried egg and baked beans over the lot and I will toss Miss Betty over me shoulder and join you.

  17. The consensus seems to be that you are in the better place, and I agree ...enjoy. X

  18. All dressed up again with nowhere to go!!

  19. I could be happy in either place.

  20. I suppose that comfort is what you are happy with. Dinner with a kitty can be wonderful. But then, so can a dinner with nice crystal... But I think the kitty would probably be less picky about table manners! ;)

  21. That is quite a contrast, John... don't eat too many beans out of despair. *wink*

  23. I despise wearing suits, so i'd rather have Albert on my shoulder and be at home.

  24. John,

I would rather be in my PJ's eating beans and toast then in a
    restaurant all dressed up. Enjoy!

  25. Poor Chris. I too think you got the better deal.

  26. Nowt wrong with beans.

  27. I've lived the life of hotels and room service, public speaking etc...and yes eating off your knee is the best glamour of all. I juts hope you did not offend your cats too much

  28. He loves you - suited and booted or 'casual' - you complement each other well x

  29. I've been told that many people eat beans on toast from a plate. But if you prefer your knee... (Love what you've done with your hair.)

Comfort food, now if it was beans, fried bread, and bacon; "Cowboys breakfast" from my childhood. I could just eat a plateful now,but I'm off to WW's in an hour so may be not!

  32. Rather you than Chris any day John - beans and a cat by the fire (forget the long johns) beats posh restaurants for me.

  33. Elegant dining is fine once in a great while...just to remind that home is best.

  35. You got the better deal by far in my opinion!

    ReplyDelete
  36. And are you sharing said beans with kitty??

    ReplyDelete
  37. Why not get suited n booted yourself then order a fancy takeaway, take a few snaps and show that you had a good time too? Easy...

  38. How could you get a woolly hat over that hair-do!?
