Farting In The Wind

The weather is as rough as a bear's arse
As you can see
I have more than enough to do indoors
Just about to be all pretentious with some mincemeat and filo pastry
And I have a 24 page questionnaire from the community council to complete
Question 18 made me smile
The "other" box is just not big enough

  2. Pah! That's barely strong enough to blow your hat off. Hurricane force 12 here - the Beaufort scale only goes up to 12! The dogs are trying to pee through the letterbox......

  3. hahaha...you need a much bigger box!

  4. Can't you just put 43 assorted?

  6. I hope you're going to list ALL the animals' names. They deserve nothing less.

  7. Can't say as I'm all that familiar with a 'bears arse' but it certainly sounds like bad weather.
I guess when they made out those government forms they didn't take into consideration the John Greys of this world lol. You'll have to do a 'see attached' notation.

  9. Filling out that form should keep you busy for quite some time.

  11. Can you just say 'Ark'? I remember once my sister completed a house contents insurance form to include all the musical instruments her kids played. She got a call later to ask "Are you an orchestra? We can do you a deal." No, just her and two kids!

  12. Go on John, fill the 'other' box with every single animal you have, and their sexes, just to make a point.

    1. Oh yes...........use a magnifying glass over it while you write...you'll be amazed at how much you can fit in there. Can you imagine their faces when they see it?

    2. Now that just looks all wrong ... I didn't mean I particularly love bears arses ...... just that Jane would be the one to know what they look like ... oh I give up!!

  14. I like the way the dogs are cowering in the car while you do the walking! Blowing quite well here in Herts too. Just heard on local radio it's 45mph winds at Luton airport….not really trying is it?

  15. I adore that the dogs are in the car protected from the weather while the crazy human is out and about !
My were out this morning and back in fast.
We are having some unseasonal weather in Tucson.
The Canadians... errrrrrr jet stream is attacking the US. When I look out the window I swear it is January and not December. It should be in the low 70's high 60's Today it will only be 55 till this storm passes.
    Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I adore the questionnaire. Can't wait to see their faces when they
    read it.

    cheers, parsnip

  16. You'll have to continue outside the box, well it will make a change from simply thinking outside of it!!

  17. Delores said what i was going to say. "See attached" with a list ought to do them some good. Are you going to list them as "Ukraian Village Occupants" and go by house numbers, or shall you break them down by group, i.e.,
    Crackhouse Whores
Betty Boop, age ~2, hen (F)
    Vinegar Tits, age~3m hen (F)

Whatever shall they think when they see that Rooster Cogburn is shacking up with Phyllis Diller? Do they need to know that Rooster is blind?

  18. If you fill it in honestly they might not believe you and you could be labelled as a "smart...."!!

  19. I thought you were going to sing for us! Wind farting doesn't count, sorry.

  20. I'd like to the believe that the dogs think you are crazy for standing out there.

  21. Woke up to -26c here and I can't say I'm enjoying it. On days like this there was no point in opening the door for the dogs to go out. I would get the "are you mad" look. Or "if you think its such a great idea, you go and squat in the snow."

  22. Hey, we just had that wind over here in Canada - didn't take it long to get to Wales :)

Let us know how the list for #18 went?

  23. It is so cute that Meg is in the front seat and Winnie is peering around the head rest from the back. I can almost hear her say, "What IS he doing?" Meg would make a great Lady Bracknell in an all doggie Importance of Being Earnest.
Wind? I live in Windy Wellington. It's invgorating, when its not blowing you off your feet ;-)

  28. Our dogs took one look out the door yesterday morning (gales, blizzards, freezing cold) and came darting back into their beds!
We did go for a walk mid morning and they came home looking like dalmations in reverse - black dogs with white spots (hail and snow).
