Pucker Up

Just been to one of my last Samaritan's training sessions
And was Late home
At 10.45 pm, as I finally sat down heavily in my old arm chair
Winifred dragged herself from her kitchen bed
Walked slowly into the living room and somewhat theatrically
Offered her face to me for a kiss.
I gave her a big smacker and
seemingly satisfied she then ever so slowly ambled back to bed.........
.........I think we have bonded

  3. Favorite Young Man's bulldog is quite the kisser. She especially likes to kiss after she gets a drink out of the toilet.

    3. Haha Susie. Yes, John, I think bulldogs are very kissy. My collie mixes do very little kissing.

  5. My Jack Russell Digs kisses me every morning when I wake up and then goes to lie on my feet....love it...best way to start the day! A very posh English woman that lives here looked down her nose at me and said " You don`t actually allow a dog on the bed?"....no actually.....he gets under the quilt!!

    1. It's where people pay you to have a snog - might start one up myself - though I'd have to do it in reverse and pay them to kiss me!!lol

  25. My lovely old dad, all those years ago used to say 'Don't kiss the dog!' Needless to say I never took any notice. Now when I kiss Lettice I say 'If you had a pound for every kiss you'd be a millionaire dog!' And she would. One of life's free pleasures.

Winifred's one helluva lucky dog and don't she know it! You are a good man John Gray.

  29. Of course you have bonded John. As my mother would have saud - she knows which side her bread's buttered.
I did Samaritan training for a few weeks but poor hearing finally defeated me and I withdrew. My brother was a Samaritan for years - it is such a worthy cause.

  33. She's gorgeous and a most fitting addition to the managerie. Will the next addition be an Irish terrier or an Irish wolfhound?
