Licking Bosoms Into Shape

Early this morning, I have tidied bosoms in readiness for the open day
I will bag up potatoes to sell on the day, and should have spare cabbages and kale too
The only company I had was  radio 4 and the three geese, who waited patiently for spare sprout leaves which they took gently from my hand

It's a no news kind of day

  1. No news days are my favourites, for that means there is no disease, death, destruction or drama.
I do wish I lived nearer to you, as I would be buying some of your lovely stuff.

  4. No news is good news, especially if it leads to a title like this one.

  5. Translation, please. I thought I knew what a bosom was. Apparently not. Whatever it is, I'm glad yours are tidy.

    1. 'Bosom' is his term of endearment for his allotment - I dare you to ask why he called it that!

  6. Switch off that rubbish and get Radio 2 on - it's good on Sundays - apart from Elaine Page at 1.00pm - she gets on my one last nerve - but Johnnie Walker is good from 3.00pm onwards - though I was thinking of boycotting his programme today since he didn't turn up to the Festival last Wednesday - and I won free tickets to see him!
ps Do we get prize cards this year again if we won anything at the Flower Show?

  25. You are an amazingly hard worker, Mr. Gray (reading the comment & reply to Joanne about hand cutting the grass). Everything looks beautiful and well-cared for.

And aren't your geese quite laid back, to be patiently waiting and gentle??

  27. We were away last week and a neighbour looked after my 'Bosoms'. Unfortunately, we forgot to tell him about 'Sam' the Scarecrow (who only scares the Bejasus out of unsuspecting adults). He screamed 'Sh*t' and the other neighbour was scared.... I have placated him today with some of our veggies and a plate of home made scones with cream and strawberries. Paul is still speaking to me!

What a soothing entry. As befits a Sunday.

I love your bosoms, John. Am totally disenchanted with myself this minute. Why don't I have bosoms and three charming geese? Those creamy cauliflowers to die for. Will pay you full whack, bring my own cumin seeds and feed you (and Chris if need be) the stir fry of all stir fries. Should you drown in a glut of courgettes (though not evidenced by your photo) look no further. Will pickle. Unless I stuff them. Or grate them into faux spaghetti.

Your bosoms look well licked. :)

  33. The cabbages are pretty and the geese are pretty. You could have included a picture of yourself. If I couldn't have said you are pretty, I could still have said "two out of three ain't bad." And who doesn't appreciate a quote from Meatloaf?

  35. No news is good news, or so the saying goes. Nice of your geese to be considerate of you, John.

    ( It's husband's 50th birthday today & I have nibbles for forty to prepare. Luckily I have some help & started cutting & dicing yesterday ! )

  37. Now that sounds like an idyllic type of day. Conjures up a feeling of peace and tranquillity. You have an amazing way with words to get that across so easily.
If you adopt me I could add my fine pair of Bosoms to yours.
