that would have scared me! We once stayed in a B&B in Devon where the room was covered in those dolls you buy from the TV. We collected them all and put them in the wardrobe and the chest of drawers. When the went to clean the room they must have first thought that we had stolen them! lol
I couldn't sleep either with a doll in the house
That wouldn't bother me. A woman I dated (yes, I did) had a huge crucifix (with Jesus) hanging over her bed. It had been given to her by her grandmother. THAT gave me nightmares. And sex was out of the question. We finally tucked him under the mattress. Not much help!
Lol.....to much info my man
"tucked him under the mattress" - Is that a bawdy euphemism?
How do you think she felt? That's Broadstairs for you; how do you think Dickens came up with such good story lines?LLX
More Edgar Allen Poe
I have always found dolls a bit creepy, especially those rag dolls with button eyes :-O
I made a voodoo doll for my ex-boss-turned-boyfriend. It was a replica of one of his evil employees. He thought I was evil for creating it. This pins were a little big, I guess.
Ex boss turned boyfriendNow THERE'S a good blog entry if ever I heard one
What happened to him? And did your voodoo work?
Holy cow.....how have I never thought to make voodoo dolls of my evil coworkers? Sounds like a fun craft project for when my friends and I get together for drinks! Hee hee!
I think she's quite cute. You big scaredy cat. :P
Think she probably got a bigger fright than you!!lol
She looks rather keen on you instead of evil intent!
I have that effect on some women
hahaha..i don't even know where to start with this one!
ARRRRGH!There's a blonde one coming in from the left too...
Strange you said that.....there was
I'll bet it comes to life when the lights are out...
I always found dolls creepy even as a child. I just used mine to play hairdressers and cut off all their hair .... somehow they were even creepier then :-)
What's wrong with a teddy bear..dolls are creeeeeeeeeepy.Jane x
lol This gave me a good laugh and Kim's comment is also through provoking :)
The real question is, were they there when you went to sleep or not? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSy8Ko1vSKQ
I definitely would not have liked that.Hope you slept well. Happy Monday, John!
She's lovely....and she looks like she's whispering voodoo secrets in your ear.
My mom had a thing for dolls. They were all over her house. I inherited some of them. I gave them to my oldest sister. They all had such creepy faces, and I don't like stuff that sits around and collects dust.Love,Janie
It's your 'Jedward' hairstyle that she's looking at. They've never seen that in Broadstairs!
Wasn't there a Karen Black movie where some creepy doll chased her around the house with a knife? Lucky you got out of there safely!!! :-)
Yes I remember it well it was called trilogy of terror ...and was made in 1975
whispering sweet nothin's in your ear so early. She may have been hinting for something more than you had to offer. Why do people put those things in guestrooms.Ooops! I guess all the skeletons and such in my guestroom might be too much for some. Oh well, at least I don't keep my skeletons in the closet.
I also wouldn't care to have this near me. I bet the 'Chucky' films must freak you out.
It is staring intently at your head. Maybe she can hear the cogs turning!
Teddy bears and ordinary dolls are fine; it's clown dolls and human clowns that freak me out. I have never worked out why, totally irrational!
The little black girl is whispering accusingly in your ear, "Have you got everything sorted for The Allotment Open Day Johnny Boy?"
It could have been worse, John. She might have been a zombie.Nancy in Iowa
Now, what's so scary about a strong black independant woman who knows what she wants? You're in her bed tonight ha ha ha ha.
That's just creepy....
Is she a brain-sucking zombie doll? Because that's what I'm thinking!
I love comments and will now try very hard to reply to all of them x
