  2. This is what happens to you when I've not stopped by for a week??!! :-) Feel better John, and I think you need a bigger bed-stand!

I see the necessities...fluids, thermometer, vapo rub, tissue of sorts....I think Kim is right..you need a bigger bedside table. Feel better soon John.

  7. Is that VICK's Vaporub I see on your table? I haven't seen that in years! Didn't know it was still being sold. I can almost taste it (yeah... my mom not only rubbed it on our throats and chests, but I swear, we had to stuff it up our noses as well)... What memories! Of course I hope you get better soon... that stuff should cure anything!

    1. Where would we be without Vick? I've gone through a whole tub in the last 4 weeks. Goes on my chest, back of neck and a new one - soles of feet (put a pair of old socks on over it). It's a reflexology tip and it works.

    2. Boy, that brings back memories!! My Mom, too. In fact, I still keep a jar of it on my bookcase headboard "just in case".

    3. I bought a new jar of Vicks recently. Was feeling poorly with cold/sinus something. I even put some on the soles of my feet for my little cough! Yep, Vicks Vapor rub was the go to for anything that ailed you when I was a kid!! I think it's getting a come back! Though, I don't think it is a strong as it used to be!! Hope you are feeling better soon John!

  8. Keep resting, drink your fluids and allow yourself the time to heal. Try being more aware of the symptoms that are getting milder and the aches or pains that are going away. You will feel mentally better that progress and healing are actually going on despite not feeling your best right now.

I hope you feel better soon!

  20. TP makes the best nose blowing material when it's needed for the flu. Just tear off as much as you need!

Vapo rub brings me out in a rash.

Make that man of yours fetch you home made chicken soup

  21. Toilet paper becomes too rough very early in the flu story though. Tissues with aloe vera have my loyalty.
