    1. So does our Yorkie. He drinks from the wife's cup all the time.

  3. I think middle aged dogs are the best, no more of that bouncing around like Tigger all the time (just some of it) and they appreciate a good lie in as much as we do :-)

One long walk and they flake out in front of the fire and the house is a peaceful place again.

  11. Patient:

"Doctor, Doctor, I keep thinking I'm a dog."

    Doctor:

    "Lie on the couch please."

    Patient:

    "I'm not allowed - I'm a dog!"

Old Russ Abbott joke. Great photo John!

  15. Few problems distinguishing between dogs and cushions so probably not an ideal reference photo for drawing. They're VERY sweet.

  16. Not wishing to cause a stir but exactly what is middle age ?
I mean like 70 is the new 40, so what does that equate with in dogs ?

  17. What a heavenly picture.... I want to just curl up with them!!

  18. Oh bless them. My 2 are a bit like now. My eldest (11) only gets a sprint on when I'm chasing him around the house with his insulin jab at the ready and the other - a true *slut* only wakes up properly when she spies a willing fuss victim

  23. Like Em Parkinson above, took me a little time to work out where the settee/cushions end and the dogs start. I'd be tempted to give little tickles just to be sure.

  24. At first I thought it was all one dog, being new to your blog and not knowing that you had 3. I looked again and saw them cuddled together in a most appealing way.

  25. and getting up in the evenings, when we have all been laying around in front of the fire, all 3 of us are creaking, stiff-legged and groaning as we take our first few steps LOL

  28. We could all learn a thing or two from our pets... that life doesn't always have to be at a hectic pace and sometimes savouring the moment is the way to start the day.
    Hope you're feeling better.

  29. They all look so happy! I've decided i'm done with kittens. I love Jim dearly, but boy oh boy, he's got more energy than all the rest of us combined. Just now he's resting, after having been outside for the last 3 hours, and i don't think we cracked 20°F/-6°C yet.
