"Get Yer Head Out Of The Trifle Bowl!"

The Prize for the best Christmas Card we have recieved this year goes to an old friend Judith from the Isle Of Man
She must have forgotten exactly where we lived as the address on the envelope stated simply

John Gray
Top of the Hill
Trelawnyd
Wales

This tickled me.

Anyhow am off now to soak my trifle sponges
unfortunately
Albert has just stuck his head in the double cream

(I did note that for the past hour he had been licking his arsehole in front of the fire)

Hey Ho

  1. Your animals' antics never let up, even for a Christmas breather. Thanks for your good wishes and eat some extra trifle for me. Happy Christmas, Love Jeneane

  2. Classic card! Reminds me of the National Lampoon Christmas Holiday film.

You and Chris have a good one and enjoy the trifle!

  4. Nice! Still the dog doing that (I'm asuming it is a dog) is slightly better than my baby doing three poos in the bath this morning. Unless you eat the cream - then yours is worse!

  8. I should have realized that everyone knows who you are, and I shouldn't have worried about your address when I mailed my parcel to you! :-)

  9. Double cream and dog's arsehole? Didn't Nigella do that last year?

    Have a good one!

  10. Well that should add a certain 'je ne sais qoi' to your trifle! We've had to hide the mince pie as one of our cats will eat the crust... strange beastie.
Happy Christmas to you & yours!

  13. I took the apple crumble from the oven, put it on the dresser with a teatowel draped over the top to keep it warm.
Assembled guests (not all well-loved and loving friends) gathered for pre-Christmas supper.
Turned round to get the crumble and found the cat sound asleep in the centre of it, any warm bed is obviously a cat magnet.
    Ho hum
    xx

  18. John,
I hope you and Chris, and all your animals, beautiful and not so beautiful but loved all the while anyway, have a wonderful, peaceful, quiet and kind Christmas. Please know that I so look forward to reading your posts - they really bring so much joy to my life that sometimes I feel you've been put on this earth just to keep me smiling. May all you give return to you tenfold.

  23. Lucky the Royal Mail didn't charge you £5 for interpretation services. As for my own address, it is of course: The Leftie Academic and Her Loved One, The Big House Near the Church, That Road Opposite KFC, East Belfast.
