Cobwebs

Today is a day for blowing the cobwebs away and a deserted beach is the right place to do just that.
I have a lot of "to do" lists to sort out in my jet lagged head
My Father-in-law visits at the end of the week
and Operation dog-snot removal will commence this afternoon
My elder sister is having her new bionic knee fitted this afternoon too!
She's gone private
She always loved doillies

  1. Everyone in Uk dreams about tropical beaches but what I really would like is a long walk down a cold one with the dogs leading to a decent pint in the pub!

  2. How many animals do you actually have? Do you have an occasional 'counting'?

  3. One misty moisty morning when cloudy was the weather ...

I too am not a fan of hot beaches, give me a deserted windswept one instead any day!

  4. Your sister's going private for a knee? What a waste of money! Mrs P got her hips done on a BOGOF with the NHS.

  5. Doillies? Surely no one liked doillies ever

  6. O to be on a deserted Welsh beach in the wind and rain, I'm so jealous, yes really.
Not sure where the jet-lag came from . . . Did I miss a post?

Hope her knee replacement is successful. We had fog here in the morning yesterday. It's a special feeling, being outside on a heavily foggy day.

  9. I'm sure if I trawled through previous posts I could find out but I'm going to ask anyway....what 'breeds' are your three lovely terriers? The inverted commas are only because Snippet is such a terrier mutt; not casting aspersions should they be pedigrees!

  10. Cobwebs and snot, sounds a bit like my house, with mine having loads of dust bunnies and woodstove ashes floating about.

  12. Those are some happy looking dogs. I hope some of their energy and good spirits rub off on you prior to beginning Operation Dog Snot Removal (ODSR). Good luck to your sis, and quick and complete recovery for her!

  13. You going to get in a nap today with that busy schedule?

John, do we need to have a chat about self-care?

  15. We have brillant sunshine here today, for which i'm glad, as i need to move the old carcase, and the sunshine helps that. We've got deserted beaches here, too, and a long breakwater which is a nice amble and the winds are strong enough to blow away all the cobwebs. Hats, too, as i lost my favourite one in the drink.

  16. It's a foggy morning here in NZ too, John. No beach though!

  18. Even overcast in Sevilla today (although plenty of sun sneaking in at times). I'm not a fan of the cold, but I do love an empty beach in winter (especially in snow). So happy operation dog-snot removal is on again. Is that only done when important company is expected?

  19. Best wishes to your sister on her knee operation. The terrors look as if wild and woolly Prestatyn is their little bit of heaven.

  20. Maybe the outing at the beach will clear their heads and reduce the snot production!

  21. Thanks John.....the Welsh ones will be going on my list of potential Snippet companions along with Patterdales, Irish, Lakelands and any combinations of the above.

  22. We used to visit the Chirk car bootsale, The Countess of Chester Carboot sale and the Sunday market near the old ferry on the old coastal road. That must be near you John. Did they ever do anything with the ferry?

    Thanks for visting the blog.

  26. You are sooooooo lucky to have the beach close. I really miss going for a walk on the beach.
I have been reading your blog for a while now, after a long break and it's lovely to catch up on all your news. You do make me laugh.
