Welcome Back Mr Dixon

My Previous disaster post has depressed me somewhat, so I will endeavour to cheer myself up by celebrating the return of The Walking Dead,, scheduled for UK showing  on Friday!
(This evening in the US)
Surprisingly enough The Walking Dead cast are the only people on earth that dress as badly than I do!

  2. Why is it always the Walking Dead? It's never the "Sitting Dead" or the "Very Unwell Who Bake Cakes & Deliver Them"? What about "The Unicycle-Riding Dead" or the "Dead Who Play Violins Poorly but Incessantly"? Come on guys, exercise the old grey cells a bit!

  3. The Mincing Dead?
    The slightly upset dead?
    The Conservative party dead?
    I could go on

  10. New season of Homeland started last night - very, very entertaining! Plot has more twists in it than an eight strand wire rope that you can only view from the producer's perspective.

  12. Husband and oldest son have just done a beer and doritos run. I've been told to expect no help after dinner tonight as they are getting ready for it.

Number two son is Greece. Which is a good thing, because his father and brother are invading his room to watch his big screen TV.

  13. Well I wore my ordinary clothes to appear in the kids' zombie movie. I made sure I was wearing my good jeans but I guess it's a matter of opinion whether I dress badly.
By the way, I tried to persuade them to bring you over to guest star...

  15. you may dress alike but do you carry a crossbow ? would be very handy if you saw a fox - assuming you could shoot the bloody thing - maybe throw the arrows at the fox.

  16. O Zombie chic, is that what it is. OK, that's my excuse from now on ;-)
It's so grey here, it's almost dark.
Hope you have a straight forward (ish) day x

  17. We have waited long enough and am thrilled it is back. Watched it last night. I'll not tell any tales of what I saw. 666 Park Avenue is a new one we just started watching. Interesting.

  18. Ok John,
Forgive me for not reading this post, or your last few. I've been gone, and while gone,we lost our Welsh Terrier. The one I commented about cleaning up his colorful vomit at 6:00 a.m. the other morning. I'm heartbroken, and would have sent you an e-mail but couldn't find it, rather than post this in your comments. Please, how do you get over it? I'm the one that was home with him all day long, like you. I'm the one he drove crazy. And I'm the one crying like a baby since I got up today. I'm a mess. Any advice?

PS - I was reading some of your posts out loud to my husband the other day, and he said, "Oh my gosh, this guy kind of looks like me." I never realized it, but you do.

  19. I'm having problems getting e-mails today but I did see the comment on my blog. Thank you. Others have appreciated the poem too. I saw where you lost Finlay which is why I contacted you. Anyone that gives his heart to as many animals as you do, would have to understand! We lost an airedale, and now a Welsh, not to mention our sweet kittie we had for 14 years. I just want my rowdy house back. Whodathunkit? Oh yeah, when Winston ran, he smiled, just like your William.

  20. I hope you enjoyed the premier as much as we did. We weren't expecting that zombies guards face to ... blech ... when the mask was removed. We groaned loud enough for the neighbors below to hear us.
