Andy Williams - Moon River

His version was even better than Audrey's original one
Incidently it is mine and Chris' "song"
Enjoy

  1. How did you and Chris come to associate this song with each other, if that's not too personal a question?

    1. On one of our first dates I told chris that I loved the song and we had a waltz to it in the dining room!
( well he danced and I shuffled)

  3. If I may interrupt this dance?

I love the Andy Williams version as well, but my favourite is Audrey. It takes me back to my distant innocent youth. That hesitant and thin voice is so sexy - how young girls wanted to be in those days. A different message to different folks I guess!

  7. Williams had a beautiful voice, life-affirming, and a fondness for v-neck sweaters. He taught a generation it was cool to be a gentleman. I shall miss that.

  10. In the U.K. it was Andy's namesake, South-African born Danny Williams, who had the big hit with the song - Number 1 for two weeks in 1961 (I recall the sensation it made). Andy's version, the one we justifiably now remember, never even charted here.
Danny W. was almost a one-hit wonder, with only one other Top 10 hit to his name - but he did have an exceptionally fine voice.
