I am Sorrel Ready!

All the dog snot has been removed from cottage windows/paintwork/doors and strangely enough the cat flap
A mummified mouse has been removed from under our bed
Fresh flowers have been put into the spare bedroom alongside a pair of worn fluffy slippers and of course, a spare towel has been laid out tastefully upon the neatly unwrinkled eiderdown
and  every surface has been double sprayed with a generous helping of febreze

I am ready!

  6. Thank god for Febreeze....When I had my dogs I would put a Fleecy dryer sheet in the vacuum which helped with the doggie odors.

Have a good visit, may your MIL be on her best behavior.

I can fully understand the Febreeze. I remember cleaning out my Dads central vac and the concentrated dog stench therin...yike... Sounds like you are ready, the chocolate would have been a nice touch but I can see the problem.

  8. Glad you got it all done!

I wonder what Albert will gift Sorrel with on this visit.

I do hope S have a lovely time with you and Chris. She must love you both very much to step so far out of her comfort zone into your wild country life for a few days.

she is a sweet, sweet woman who does not possess a bad bone in her body!
she hates bulldogs, detests birds and couldn't cope with a rural crisis if her life depended on it
    and I love her dearly!

  11. Well, after these Herculean preparations, I hope you actually enjoy a delightful visit. Though perhaps a neighbour would take pity on you, and take your in-house animals for a holiday during the visit. No?
